Soy El Zen Diablo. That's right, I am the Zen Devil: Not 100% Zen and not always an angel... These are my rants, musings, observations and opinions on life in general, society, politics. Occasionally I'll pepper in reviews of TV shows, movies, music and stories or books.

Only in Dreams
Okay. Very rarely do I remember my dreams. But one of the two I had last night is worth mentioning. My Dog Marley is a Bassett Hound/Lab mix. She's a big dog on short legs. In my dream, she laid an egg. Out of the egg hatched a puppy. WTF is wrong with me?

Grooming--I miss my Goat-Tee
The nerve of some people. I'm usually clean shaven, as I am in constant contact with the public. I have an image to project for my employer. But every once and a while, I decide to grow a goat-tee. NOt a full Van Dyke, just a simple goat. And I keep it trimmed. On my days off, I don't shave. I give my face a break. As a rule, I usually shave/trim every other day. So yesterday, my boss commented how he missed how I looked in the summer. I politely told him I would shave/trim that evening. Today I went in freshly shaven, goat-tee nicely trimmed, and he still commented again how he was going to have to get me a hair net for our upcoming health inspection. I joked that I'll wear a dust-mask. He didn't find it funny, and proceeded to tell me that he personally doesn't care for the look and would prefer it if I was clean shaven. In no way did I look like any member of ZZ Top. Well, I pride myslef on the fact that I can grow a decent looking goat-tee, and have reluctantly shaved it off. Alas, my vanity shall not be my downfall. However, I would love to become self-employed just so I can groom my facial hair any way I see fit. Not to mention the fact that I can't stand working for other people.

Just Passing Time...
Blogging from my mobile phone via e-mail... This is going to make boring days at the fish market so much more bearable!
